C. Maxwell Medert, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma and advanced anterior segment surgery. Dr. Medert cares for patients with all forms of glaucoma and offers the full suite of glaucoma laser and surgical procedures. Along with his expertise in glaucoma, Dr. Medert also has experience treating cataracts and complex anterior segment surgical dilemmas, including intraocular lens (IOL) repositioning, IOL exchange and pupilloplasty procedures.



In conjunction with his clinical practice, Dr. Medert uses research to investigate and evaluate a wide range of issues in ophthalmology. His work has been published in Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology Glaucoma and the American Journal of Ophthalmology. Additionally, he has presented at annual meetings for the American Glaucoma Society and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, amongst others.
