Please join us in welcoming James Reidy, MD to the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science!
Dr. Reidy brings a wealth of clinical, educational and administrative experience to our growing department. A Chicago native, Dr. Reidy did his undergraduate training at Georgetown and received his medical degree from Loyola. He did his ophthalmology training at Michael Reese Medical Center, which was affiliated with the University of Chicago during his training. After a corneal fellowship with Dr. Herb Kaufman at Louisiana State University, Dr. Reidy spent 26 years at SUNY Buffalo, where he rose to the rank of Clinical Professor.
Dr. Reidy is widely regarded as a corneal specialist comfortable with managing the most complicated anterior segment problems in a compassionate and efficient way.
